"Professionalism, compassion, care and gentle good humour"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Gastroenterology Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / General Surgery Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Surgical Observation Unit

(as the patient),

I was admitted to Surgical Exploration unit in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary after a bout of rigorous and vomiting. Staff were fantastic and looked after me with professionalism, compassion, care and gentle good humour.

I was transferred to Ward 106 where I stayed for 5 days and had an MRI and a Laparoscopic procedure. Again everyone from the Consultant to the nurses and all the support staff were superb.. They were warm, supportive and took care to explain everything they were doing. They made me proud of the NHS and they really are the very best of people

Update posted by Big Joe (the patient)

Thank you Claire for your reply and your kind wishes. I did make a mistake in that it was an endoscopic procedure rather than laparoscopic. Sorry about that.

I am feeling so much better and I have made clear to as many friends as possible that my treatment from start to finish was absolutely first class.

Best wishes
