"I left feeling ignored, rushed, and completely unsupported"

About: Salisbury District Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

My experience at the Salisbury Gynaecology Clinic was extremely disappointing.

When I arrived, I greeted the member of staff on reception, who was talking to another staff member, and they both just stared at me without saying a word. I only got a response after I asked again, and then I was told they’d be with me shortly. It felt rude and unprofessional.

When I finally saw the gynaecologist, the attitude wasn’t any better. They asked why I was there in a blunt way, and when I explained it was a GP referral, they questioned why I’d even been sent since the results weren’t in yet.

Instead of giving me guidance or reassurance, they rushed through everything and simply said they'd send a letter. I had to push for answers because nothing was explained properly.

I left feeling ignored, rushed, and completely unsupported. The lack of communication and basic courtesy made the whole visit stressful and disappointing. Patients deserve to be treated with respect and given clear information, neither of which I received.
