"Positive visit to EODU RVH"

I have now attended the EODU at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast on a few occasions, and I wanted to share how positive my experience was. The department was very well signposted, which made arrival and navigation straightforward. I was seen either early or right on time, and the service throughout was excellent.

The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and approachable. They were very supportive and reassuring during the tests, happily allowing rest periods when needed, which made a big difference. The care felt very thorough, and the staff maintained a chatty, positive atmosphere that really helped put me at ease.

I had previously attended for OCT Imaging clinic only to return for a visual fields test 2 days later. Staff very kindly offered to complete both tests the same day. This helped me greatly due to distance to travel to RVH and to reduce time taken out of work. Really appreciated it. 

They were more than happy to answer my questions and worries, providing clear, informative, and reassuring explanations. I would especially like to mention (apologies if names are not correct) Memet, Purie, Joanne, and Anne, who I had the pleasure of meeting on my most recent visit. They truly turned an appointment I was quite anxious about into a positive and comfortable experience, which I very much appreciate.
