"Diagnosis after 20 years of pain"

I recently had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy under the consultant Mr Kent. I have been having problems for over 20 years and have been dismissed for pretty much the entirety of those years. I moved to Surrey just over 2 years ago and have been dismissed by so many doctors.

Upon my first visit with Mr Kent, he made me feel so comfortable and that I wasn’t going mad. He listened, sympathised and wanted to help. I had to wait a while for my diagnostic appointment but that was fine if it meant I was going to finally get a full diagnosis. 

On the day of my surgery I couldn’t praise the nurses enough. Everyone was fantastic and they really helped with my nerves. The anaesthetist and the consultant who visited before the procedure explained everything in such detail and were happy to listen to any questions. 

The procedure went well and after over 20 years of pain I was finally given the diagnosis I already knew I had. I am now on the waiting list to finally get the treatment I need to end my issues.
