Approximately two/3 weeks ago another firm of Security took over the two car parking sites, prior to this I was able to use the small car park and displaying my wife's disabled card, for the time that her blood transfers took to go into her arm.
As the new notices were displayed, we did notice the Disabled sign had been removed, questioning one of the security staff, to be informed, that they had no interest in my comments, as anyone who was still parked would get a card under visor of their windscreen wiper.
This company claims they do not recognised the blue card holders to use their space for free, I find this unacceptable. This is the first time ever that I have met such precarious ideas, to make money, charging people such as myself and my wife, who cannot walk from the lower carpark up a very steep slope, to PIU, then back again. (Providing a disabled space is available) as I have noticed there are many non-card holders or vehicles displaying clock cards with no visible tickets under their visor for parking incorrectly. I have answered 4 of these tickets, all stuck on the car windows, (which according to Google is not legal as it is the Local Council issues these tickets?) The 5th one was answered by staff of PIU, who stated that this was a matter of concern, who also will approach Hospital Authorities on blue card holders rights as their blue cards are allowed up to 3 hrs free parking.
We have ever stayed loner than needed. It would seem that my replies have not yet been organised by the company, as the first reply will be at the 14 day when there will be a charge of £100 to pay. After the interview with the hospital staff, they advised me to call in to the Security and explain my position with my wife who is not at this time in the best of health, and the problem that removing our use of the blue card, as well as the uncertainty of how long my wife's appointments can be, the person behind the counter yawned as I asked for guidance, stating that there was Disabled parking in the lower parking area, so I get to park there.
If I leave my car in an unmarked bay, I would be charged for parking.
They went on to say when I parked in the marked bay I was then to get a hospital porter to wheel her up the slope, or she could walk, then return to the car using a porter. I did explain that my wife could not manage to walk the length of the bottom carpark or the slope, then into the top hospital to enter PIU. Also finding a porter to help us, as they are never seen at the car park looking for people to assist, is difficult. I was also asked why did she have to come here anyway...so that is not my problem.
I would have used some very strong language but I felt it would not justify my anger at the security reception negativity to my problem of concern of another human being, who needs help and understanding, care and attention, was beyond her understanding?
There has been a flurry of yellow tickets on some of the cars to my knowledge at the small car park, one can not possibly solve this particular by ignoring an attitude of the security company at the expense of people using the PIU department for medical treatment. Do I keep paying a fine time again, and again. Is it possible to assist? Is someone able to help not only myself but also others using PIU please?
Thank you
