I have been suffering with the effects of long covid for approximately three years. The symptoms worsened considerably as of May 25 and I was eventually referred to the long covid clinic. I can honestly say that I have received first class service throughout, from the reception staff at my local surgery (Windmill Surgery Wymondham) to the doctors and medical staff there, as well as the Long Covid support team that dealt with me online and the doctor that saw me at the Norwich Community Support Hospital in Bowthorpe Road. I would like to extend my thanks for their caring, professional and compassionate approach throughout. I am very lucky in that I am slowly recovering but it has been a very difficult and challenging journey.
I most recently attended the Norwich Community Support Hospital in December. I paid for parking, but it appears that I entered my var registration incorrectly and received a fine as a result, despite appealing. The fine appears to be for a minor keying in error. I do remember feeling tired at the time that I keyed in the registration (the most common of my symptoms are fatigue, concentration and focus), despite taking care in doing so, since I am aware that the correct registration is needed to correlate with the ANPR. This caused considerable stress that I felt ill equipped to be able to deal with and did not assist with recovery. Ultimately, my attending the hospital on this occasion did me more harm than good and I do not wish to attend this hospital again. Attending this facility is supposed to aid recovery, not hamper it! I assume that the NHS are unaware that the parking company issue fines for minor keying in entries and hope that the practice is revoked as soon as possible to avoid further upset to those already living with illness. I must say I do feel very let down.
