"All the hard work is so worth it"

About: Telford STaRS

(as a service user),

I've been with stars now for over 15 years now and my experience they have been great. Even when I was messing about still they were there if and when I was ready.

The courses you can do, the support your given, the care the respect the empathy you get and in turn learn your self is priceless. My journey has been long and difficult but there will always be that time when you want control back, when you've had enough and don't want to create any more victims.

Stars and family is what you need around you. Doing my life map and learning cycle of change properly helps you realise who you want to be as long as your willing to change. Stars will always be there and great group of people we have there.

I'm 3 years clean from class A now and never been happier, there are still struggles but ones I welcome and talk them through now I have my own family every thing is nearly where I want it to be, it just takes time. I promise it's worth the pain as the other end is ☀️😎 my partner and my son are every thing.

The hard work is so worth it!

Dear bluedx53,

Thank you for providing your valuable feedback of your experience of our service.

I am pleased you had a positive experience and felt listened to, respected and supported and offered courses relevant to you.

Well done achieving 3 years abstinence and for the hard work you have put in. I would like to wish you all the best in your continued recovery journey.

Have you considered volunteering for a service like us to utilise your invaluable life experience to support others and give hope to others?

If this is something you would be interested in, please feel free to contact Emma, our Volunteer Coordinator, on 0300 456 4291.

Kind Regards

Chris Hirst
