"The fantastic staff who got me through a very difficult pregnancy"

I fell pregnant with my third child in May of last year, having two very simple and relatively easy pregnancies beforehand.

Unfortunately, very early on, I developed SPD, a pregnancy condition that affects movement within your groin, pelvis, lower back and legs and causes a great deal of pain. By 11 weeks pregnant, I was using crutches to get about and by 20 weeks relied on the use of a wheelchair. I was virtually housebound by the last 3 months of the pregnancy and my husband had to come out of work in order to care for me and our two children.

Dr Gondani and her wonderful team of midwives looked after us from the start, giving us open access to them which gave us peace of mind that someone was always on hand to deal with any changes in my condition.

We had continuity of care from Dr Gondani throughout and knowing just one person was dealing with our case, made life so much easier as we didn't have to keep explaining our situation over and over.

My SPD was so painful and being given correct medication to deal with that pain but also being assured from the best people it was fine to take during pregnancy was huge to me and made the difference. The assurance allowed me to take it with confidence whilst having it, allowed me some relief from the overwhelming pain.

Every visit we had at the Clinic was positive and filled with care and concern from the amazing team- I genuinely do not know how I would have got through the pregnancy without them and will never forget the service we received.

This month, we welcomed our beautiful, healthy baby into the world and I thank each and everyone of this amazing team for all they did for us.
