"Lovely, kind, and incredibly caring"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Gynaecology (Ward 13)

(as the patient),

I was recently a patient in Ward 13 at Wishaw General Hospital and was discharged home, but I sadly had to return and was admitted overnight. I wanted to take the time to express my sincere gratitude to the staff in Ward 13.

Every single member of staff was absolutely lovely, kind, and incredibly caring. I suffer from misophonia, which means certain noises can become extremely overwhelming for me. At one point I felt so distressed that I considered discharging myself.

Pauline, the charge nurse in Ward 13, went completely out of her way to help me. She arranged for me to have a single room somewhere quiet, which made such a huge difference to my wellbeing. I am forever thankful to her for the care, understanding, and compassion she showed. She truly made my hospital stay that little bit easier, and I am so grateful.

Every nurse and doctor I encountered was amazing, and I cannot thank them enough for the care and support I received.
