The service when you get to dermatolgy is great but getting there is the problem . I needed to change my appointment so phoned the appointment helpline recently -It took 15 minutes to tell me I was 10th in the queue and a further 15 to speak to the appointment secretary. For my vaccine appointments i can change easily online - why can't I do this for my clinic appointments ? The appointment staff must be ridiculously busy and having a computerised system would help them focus time on those that couldn't use a computerised system. I think the systems patient user interface is so poor that many people will give up . Please improve

thank you leaving positive feedback about the dermatology department and apologies on behalf of the booking office. If your appointment is a new one you need to speak to them direct but if its a return appointment to the service you can phone direct. The lines in the booking office are extremely busy and we hope the new patient hub service will reduce the amount of calls they receive. you can check out the hub on the intranet
