"Instantly put me at ease"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Dermatology (Skin Conditions)

(as the patient),

I had an urgent referral through my GP and had my appointment last week.

I had a horrible growth boil like thing on my neck, I was very nervous,

When my name was called I met Dr Farquhar, I can only describe her as an angel without wings. A beautiful lady. 

She instantly put me at ease explaining everything about Squamous Cell Carcinoma and also arranged to have this removed on the same day.

The 2 nurses that carried out the procedure were also fantastic while they dealt with this very chatty through nervous patient.

Overall a fabulous department and a huge applause 👏 to the NHS.

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your Dermatology experience at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

I was delighted that you felt that Dr Farquhar put you at ease and explained all about your lesion. I was also glad to find that we were able to remove this on the same day. This would have saved you coming back at a later date and worrying about it. I was glad that you found the nurses who removed the lesion put you at ease through out the procedure.

I hope the wound is healing nicely.
