"Really helped me in my journey"

On my arrival at Dame Carol Detox i was terrified and didn't know what to expect but the staff in no time at all made me feel very welcome.

The house is very comfortable and clean and i settled in very quickly. The nurses listened to my needs and were there if i had any questions i needed answered about my medication.. The Recovery Workers were helpful and were always there to help run the house, do washing and run the groups each day and always checked in to see if everyone was ok. I enjoyed the groups and found them very helpful and knowledgeable.

The other residents were very friendly and welcoming.

The food was very good and the chef catered and listened to my needs as i'm a vegetarian,  always given alternative options if there was something i wasn't keen on.

I wish i could stay longer but feel DCDS has really helped me in my journey and i would recommend it to anyone wishing to come here.
