I was recently admitted to the elective overnight stay centre in the mater hospital for planned surgery and due to get home. Everything went really well. This service is excellent and appears to run like clockwork. All staff that I came in contact with between Dr's, nurses and anaesthetist all delivered a high level of care and put my mind at ease throughout.
The staff in the elective overnight stay centre have been amazing throughout my admission and couldn't do enough for me. A special mention has to go to nurses Catriona and Judith. I am a nurse myself and seeing the compassionate care they delivered made me proud of my profession.
Dr McGowan was so approachable and came to see me following surgery and explained the outcomes and ensured I understood and was comfortable throughout.
