"It came across as so well organised and planned"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / General Surgery Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Pre-Op Assessments

(as the patient),

I was given the option to attend the Golden Jubilee for my pre op and surgery as my own health board had an 18 month waiting list. All I can say is how glad I am that I decided to go ahead with this option!

The pre op assessment team were great and the team on the day of surgery were all so slick. It came across as so well organised and planned. I felt cared for and listened to and had 100% confidence in the team looking after me. I met so many faces on the day of surgery and everyone I met that day approached me with care, warmth, a smile and dignity.

I want to shout out to Michelle, the nurse who cared for me in Day Surgery. I was one of the last patients to leave the department that evening and she took such great care of me and did not rush me out when I was feeling so poorly after my surgery. Thank You!

Dear Otis1991,

Thank you for taking the time to write on Care Opinion. What a lovely post to read. I am very pleased to read that your care throughout was excellent, importantly the team caring and listening to you with warmth and a smile. It sounds like this had a massive impact on your patient journey during what is a very worrying time for patients.

Our team will be delighted to read this and be assured I will share this with them, especially Michelle.

I do hope you are recovering well and continue to do so.

Regards

Paula
