"The care I received"

I would just like to give a special mention to Mandy. She was one of the nurses who came and collected me from SDEC for an ultrasound. I was in a lot of pain and very worried as I had never had one before. Mandy was the most comforting and reassuring person throughout. She made me feel so safe and made me miss my mum (in the best way). Even the patients she helped before and after me I saw how much she loved her job and how she wanted to lift everyone’s spirit in their time of need. I can only hope the hospital realise and appreciate how lucky they are to have her there.

I would also like to mention all the staff who worked throughout the day at the SDEC because I was there from 9:45-20:00 and they were all so positive, informative and reassuring. It was a long wait for me, but through no fault of their own. 

Additionally, the surgical team that day, I am acutely aware of how busy you were and I would like to say thank you. Although we didn’t find an answer to my pain your thoroughness and efforts did not go unnoticed and I appreciate the work you do.
