I recently gave birth to my daughter at the Princess Royal and I honestly couldn’t fault the care I received. I first attended EPAS at 6 weeks following a bleed and Eileen was so kind. After having 2 losses last year I was terrified but Eileen was amazing and I honestly can’t thank her enough for her care during a very stressful 1st trimester.
My midwife from clinic, Ruth and my consultant, Dawn, were so lovely and supportive. Despite the clinics clearly being really busy I never felt rushed and always felt they took the time to explain everything, making sure I was happy with any decisions about my care.
On the day my daughter was born the staff in theatre and recovery were great, and I was lucky enough to have Dawn deliver my baby which was so nice. Rebecca made sure we were kept involved, supporting my birth choices and Beth in recovery was great. Everyone I encountered made me feel like this was a special event for them too and not just another part of the job which made the experience even more special.
After the birth I was admitted to ward 72 where the staff went above and beyond. Angela, Katie and Lisa just to name a few. Overnight I could hear how busy the ward was but you would never have known that when the staff walked in the room. There was always a kind, smiling face and nothing was ever too much bother.
I’m so grateful to all the staff for the care they provided us and can’t thank them enough for everything they did. Words honestly can’t describe how amazing they are and I just want to say a massive thank you to them all.
