My adult son was referred to ENT on an urgent referral for his ears which have been operated on but due again. The consultant at ENT downgraded the urgent referral without even seeing my son , his doctor who put through the urgent referral had spoke to him and knew it was needing an urgent referral.
I feel this is a dereliction of duty. How can his own doctor see him and realise it's an urgent referral, then the consultant never saw him or spoke to my son and downgraded it to 81 week waiting list, so my son is left suffering?
After the first operation, my son received no aftercare, even though they were meant to check, and it was his own GP who had to check him. The GP was not happy that he had received no aftercare.
This is absolutely disgusting, unprofessional and needs sorted or I'm contacting my local MSP.
