My elderly mother was recently admitted to Ward 8B, Yeovil Hospital, following an emergency admission after which she was found to have suffered a severe stroke.
During her time under their care the entire team, from the Consultant and Registrar through to the nursing and auxiliary staff, treated both her and us, her family, with kindness, compassion and professionalism.
The Palliative Care Team, who were closely involved with Mum's care, were wonderful and ensured that we were kept in the loop regarding her condition.
At all times we felt assured that Mum's comfort and dignity were paramount - which made a deeply difficult and distressing time a little easier to bear. On behalf of all the family I would like to say a heartfelt thank you.
