About: Western General Hospital / Radiotherapy

(as the patient),

I received 30 fractions of radiotherapy between December 2023 & January 2024. From the parking attendants reception staff to the radiologist nurses were absolutely amazing, caring, helpful and reassuring. Too many names to remember but LA6 or Lala land as we all called it were absolutely amazing, not forgetting Dr Erridge my consultant, that lady has what must be one of the hardest jobs ever , but puts you at ease and always greets you with a smile ( even if she does nag me about my weight it’s just concern and she’s entitled to as if it wasn’t for her and Mr Brennan & Mr Wiggens the surgeons I wouldn’t be writing this now).

Your kind comments about everyone, from the parking attendants and reception staff to the nurses and radiographers are incredibly uplifting. I know the LA6 team will be thrilled to hear how much their compassion and reassurance helped you through treatment. Your recognition of Dr Erridge, Mr Brennan, and Mr Wiggens is wonderful; they work tirelessly to provide the best care possible, and feedback like yours reminds us why we do what we do. I will make sure your kind words gets to them.
