"We are eternally grateful"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Orthopaedics (Wards 10a, 10b, 10c &10d) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Palliative Care

(as a relative),

Following another fall, resulting in a further fractured hip..my lovely father-in law was admitted to the QEUH Glasgow. Despite our anxiety we were elated to be told he was to be cared for by the Dream Team in ward 10D, as he previously received excellent care in April.

Unfortunately, peaceful, with his family beside him, passed away at the end of November.

We would like to praise again the fabulous care he received. Firstly the staff treated him as an acutely ill patient, keeping us informed of his treatment step by step …and when it was obvious that this was now end of life for him, the Staff effortlessly became his palliative care team.

Their expertise, professionalism and more importantly their kindness to not only to Jim but also ourselves will never be forgotten.

This is a team to be proud off, they obviously have a great passion for caring for the sick and the dying and this is something that should be applauded.

Special thanks to the lovely girls, Sarah, Erin, Milly, Flo and Karen.

Thanks Girls, when we think of him at the end of his life we will think of you all fondly, you will never be forgotten. X

We are Eternally grateful

Love

Our family
