"Head and Neck Cancer Counselling Service"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as a service user),

It was a positive experience from the first session. Julie was welcoming and understanding of how the treatment had made me feel.

There was never any pressure to finish a meeting at a certain time which made me feel relaxed.

I felt supported and could talk about anything.

For me, the only thing to have made it better would be to run the sessions away from the hospital site.

Dear funnycp85

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm really pleased to hear that you felt welcomed, supported, and able to speak openly during your sessions. Creating a relaxed, pressure-free environment where you feel comfortable is exactly what we aim for, so it's wonderful to know that came across.

I really appreciate your suggestion about holding sessions away from the hospital site. I understand that meeting in a hospital setting isn't ideal for everyone, and your feedback helps us think about how we might improve the experience for future patients. While we may have some limitations around where sessions can be held, this is valuable insight, so thank you.

Thank you again for your kind words and for helping us understand what matters most to patients.
