"Amazing staff and compassionate"

I want to say a huge thank you to the team at the Hippo Assessment Unit (Children’s). From the moment we arrived with my son, who was very unwell and had high ketones, the staff were incredible. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They checked in with us regularly, kept a close eye on him, and made sure we always understood what was happening.

Despite the worry of the situation, they even managed to share a few laughs with us, which made such a difference. Every single person we met was kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They’re truly beautiful people doing an amazing job, and we’re so grateful for the way they looked after our boy.
