Yesterday I attended my first Chemotherapy session at Ward3a room 301 at Crosshouse Hospital and spent a large part of the day there getting my treatment.
It was a very busy ward but not once was patient care compromised, they were very caring, professional and empathetic. They were very patient focused and considering that the patients were going through a most difficult in their lives they ensured that they supported both physically and emotionally. Which is very difficult in these times.
Sometimes I feel the nursing staff are not appreciated or recognised for their hard work and dedication considering what they have to deal with every day.
Can this information be passed onto the staff that were on duty in room 301?
