"Outstanding work by the team"

My wife and I would like to highlight the outstanding work the maternity team at the RAH carried out when delivering our baby boy in the early hours mid September. 

I don't have all the names for those involved but thank you to the full team.

We would like to begin with thanking Siobhan again for the great work she done during her shift which then led on to Roslyn and Mya taking over from the start of their shift. The two of you were fantastic and helped my wife along the way, managing to keep a nice calming environment and everything safe and stable. When it came time to call in part of the senior team to advise on the next stages of the delivery it was done well and in decent time to allow a chance for things to happen in the maternity suite before moving to theatre.

Can we next move on to Dr Kamath. Thank you for being reassuring and calm in your approach and also being clear on what the plan was next and why it was best to take that route.

When it was decided that my wife was to be taken to theatre there was such a mixture of emotions and I would like to really praise the anaesthesiologist for keeping me right as the father and husband my emotions were all over the place and I think it was reassuring to me to have another male there. Sorry I didn't catch your name on the day but it really did mean a lot to me! Thankfully I didn't faint on the stool but the advice on which direction to fall was also helpful (haha). A big thank you also for looking after my partner and making her as comfortable as possible and allowing her to recover so quickly as well.

I would like to come back to Roslyn again to say great job on telling my wife when to push! Dr Kamath, you done a wonderful job in being gentle with my little boy and helping him arrive into the world we are forever grateful!

A special mention to the person who stitched my partner up as well, if you require a nickname it should be Picasso! There were so many compliments on the stitching anytime they were checked you really should be proud of your skill and ability.

Apologies to anyone who I haven't mentioned, there were a lot of people in the theatre that morning and we would both like to thank every one you you for getting our baby into the world safely and as professionally as you all did. Thanks for making sure the new mum was well taken care of and also the new dad.
