"Family member's treatment"

About: Bromley Healthcare / Hospital @ Home for adults

(as a relative),

My uncle is palliative as a result of a cancer diagnosis. He had an infected finger following a recent open dislocation.

Despite 2 unsuccessful attempts to address the issue, primarily due to poor communication, the Bromley hospital at home service were called.

The doctor and paramedic that attended were absolutely brilliant.

The doctor was assertive and honest, he ensured my uncles care was streamlined and he got the urgent care he needed. Everything was organised and actioned without fault, exactly the service and standard you expect. The paramedic that attended really took the time to talk to my uncle and make him feel comfortable, again the compassionate and kindness you need when faced with worrying about your health.

Both were absolutely outstanding and a total asset to the NHS.

The care at st. Thomas’ that was organised was without a doubt the best we’ve experienced.

So thankful to everyone that has supported us as a family and especially my uncle who was prevented from suffering any agonising fatality.

Dear Jb9rn89,

I am so sorry to hear about your uncle's diagnosis.

Thank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback on your uncle's and your family's positive experience of the Hospital@Home (Adult) Service.

I have forwarded your lovely feedback to Lorna, the service lead, to share with the team.

With best wishes, Sharon
