"Neurodivergence and low mood/anxiety"

About: Community Services (AMH) / Primary Care Mental Health–East

(as the patient),

I have always struggled with my mental health and feeling stable due to trauma’s & constantly feeling out of place and I found it hard to identify emotions I was feeling and had suicidal feelings/attempts because of the confusion and feeling misunderstood.

Since using this service I am now on the waiting list that I had struggled to understand beforehand, I have learnt to be more accepting of my neurodivergence, I have gained a bond and someone I feel I can trust with my emotions and thoughts and I have learnt a lot more about myself and my feelings that have helped me be more accepting of myself & helped me find new ways to cope and to be happy with myself and my life.

Hi Angel

Thank you for taking the time to leave us this wonderful feedback. Receiving feedback, both good and bad is really important to us as a service. It helps us to review the service we are providing, ensuring we are getting it right for the people of Doncaster.

I am sorry to read about your struggles with mental health, it sounds like it’s been a difficult journey for you, but I am pleased to read that you have been able to build trust with us and find tools that work for you to help you cope and become more accepting of yourself.

You mention you are on a waiting list, so whilst you wait, keep practising what you have learnt so far, it sounds like you are doing great with it, and your hard work is paying off.

We are constantly reviewing our waiting lists, so we hope to get to you as soon as we can, but please do reach out should you need anything whilst waiting.

I wish you continued success on your recovery journey.

Take care and thank you once again.

Jo
