"Helped us spend time with my dad before saying goodbye"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance University Hospital Wishaw / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

On behalf of my family I would like to thank the Scottish Ambulance Service staff for quickly getting to my elderly dad who had collapsed in the bathroom.

My mum called 999 just after 8 am and the ambulance arrived very quickly.

The staff managed to re-start his heart then took him to Wishaw General Hospital.  Sadly my dad passed away a few hours later.

Thank you to the staff at the A&E Department of Wishaw General Hospital and in particular to the kind nurse who helped my mum, brother and I spend time with my dad before saying goodbye.

DearLanrkshire resident,

Similar to Julie, I would like to express my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your dad to you and your family. I can only imagine what a difficult time you all must be going through right now. I'm really touched that even at such a challenging time you have taken time to provide some really thoughtful feedback to the different teams that looked after your dad. Thank you so much for your kind words. These mean so much to the teams that receive them. I wish you and your family all the very best.

Heartfelt wishes,

Marie
