My daughter has cholesteatoma. She has had three surgeries over last 4 years and she last saw her consultant in January.
After a botched surgery, she is left with a perforated eardrum that is not quite fully resolved, facial paralysis, and requiring regular ear cleans as they dont self clean but this would be delivered quarterly via a PA not consultant as they are too busy, and they are capable of providing this.
Last year he said same it happened once, well here we go, 11 months since seeing him and she has seen a PA once in two months ago who sent her on her way without cleaning her ears, saying they couldn't see any wax....
We were told they could only issue appointments six weeks in advance. Well it's beyond that now, and she has a bad infection due to buildup, and bleeding from her ear which is new to us it's normally clear/smelly.
