Arrived 15 minutes before appointment.
Receptionist’s beautiful smile wasn’t quite awake, but that didn’t hinder her very friendly and efficient administration.
Gentle Ruth (of the golden highlights) did a thoroughly professional job with all the prep. Next to meet the star of the show, the incomparable Ms Knox, consultant surgeon supreme for the characteristic comprehensive examination with the added enthusiastic explanation of the new technology and techniques featured in the ensuing procedure, whereupon the diminutive, super-smiling Jasmine escorted me to meet Dr Connolly, anaesthetist extraordinaire. Thence to theatre - though that word seems to be assiduously avoided these days.
With external tech support added to the team, it was a full house and the maestro plied her superlative skills with confident, calm and precision.
My petite charioteer negotiated contrary automatic doors with aplomb, ferrying me gently to her colleagues, Annamarie and Mary, who plied me with tea and toast during the well-documented aftercare briefing.
While Pharmacy were busily preparing my new meds, I was unobtrusively observed until my transportation arrived outside and I was given a walking escort by a softly-spoken young woman (name badge was inverted) who chatted amiably until we reached the exit.
This team epitomises systemic clockwork. Far from being a broken NHS, they collectively form a little galaxy of shining stars.
I am profoundly grateful for your dedication and committed professional care; thank you isn’t enough to express my appreciation.
"A little galaxy of shining stars"
