"Seamless quality care"

From Wednesday to Friday my son received high quality care in a challenging environment by dedicated professionals who went above and beyond when he had his appendicectomy. He was assessed and treated in ED, cared for in the blue corridor, then moved up to 4N and cared for in the corridor there before his operation and time in the recovery ward. All staff were exemplary even though extremely busy.

Communication was excellent and staff were friendly, patient and attentive.  I apologise for not remembering all names but would like to acknowledge the  care of Dr Abi, the male ED nurse who assessed my son and the kind nurse with the blond curly hair who looked after him on Wednesday in ED.

In 4N, Lynsey was excellent and kept him in good spirits, reassured and painfree while the support services lady, Janet was especially kind and kept me hydrated during my long wait with him. Mr Epanomeritakis and his team were attentive, reviewed Daniel in ED, on the ward and spoke to us after his operation. The doctors on his team, although busy,  took time to explain everything thoroughly and gave time for questions. 

Cathy and Carrie in the recovery ward deserve a special mention for managing post op pain and preparing Daniel and us for his discharge. Thank you to everyone involved.  We are very grateful.
