After a fall at the beginning of the year, I had my first appointment in Mr Crome's clinic recently.
Soon after I arrived, a health staff member advised that I had to attend for an X-Ray which was understandable due to the time lapse between the incident and appointment. X- Ray was extremely busy and with an Orthopaedics appointment given for 2pm and still waiting for and X-Ray at 2.45pm it was clear the clinics were going to be running late.
On returning to the Orthopaedic Department and seeing the Consultant at 4pm. He apologised for the wait I had. Despite it being clear he had back to back patients, he remained warm, person centred, and listened without rushing me.
Although it felt like a conveyor belt out with the appointment, within it, he was exemplary on how we would want all our health staff to treat patients. I would like to thank the consultant for his patience, understanding and caring nature in what must have been a challenging clinic.
