"They were all amazing"

I was in the Heavitree day care unit, having an operation. I can not fault any of the staff from start to finish... They were all amazing. I had the exact same procedure a year ago but in a different hospital/county and Exeter Heavitree staff smashed it out of the park compared to them.

I felt very comfortable, I never had to ask for anything because they were on top of it constantly and it was so nice to be able to actually sit and chat with the staff. Unfortunately I can't remember my nurse's name, but she was amazing and made the recovery from the anaesthetic a dream.

The anaesthetist was amazing too. Explained everything fully and made me feel very comfortable before and during the procedure. She even popped in afterwards to see how I was feeling. Hayley, that popped her head in after the operation to see how I was, was enough to put a smile on my face too.

The surgeon and her trainee came in before and after the procedure and again..... amazing. The whole team getting me ready in the room before the operating theatre was brilliant too. Everyone had a laugh, distracted me from what was coming and I honestly can't fault anything.

A massive thank you to the entire team that worked on this day and made everything as enjoyable as it could be, from the conversations, the laughs and the general overall care. I hope they all have a nice Christmas and keep up the awesome work everyone.
