"A&E experience"

During a recent visit to A&E Antrim we were given a 8.5 hour estimated wait time to see a doctor.

My relative has learning disabilities and physical disabilities and was in severe pain. I feel this is not good enough.

The following day when I mentioned this to a doctor as being a ridiculous wait time I was basically told that that wasn't too bad and was lucky it wasn't longer.

There were people being treated as is a regular occurance in the corridors.

Old and sick people sleeping all night in uncomfortable chairs.

And the room we were allocated was not clean particulatly the floors.

The previous patients shower gel and slippers were still in the bathroom!

It is never a nice experince.

I feel sorry for the over worked and under paid staff.
