Admitted today, in late Nov 25 for an infusion. Was sent to Gate 36 but there was no space so moved to Gate 34.
They seemed to be massively understaffed and overworked. Several of the bays including the one I was in had extra beds added (from 4 to 6).
Only one nurse working between several bays and although clearly stressed nothing was too much, the HCA who was working had worked extra hours and was working between two wards, however she was knew each patient by name, kept on top of everyone and knew what they needed. One patient in the bay where I was who was clearly struggling emotionally and in the only 10 minutes I saw her stop and get a drink in the 8 hours I was there, she spent it sat with that patient.
I was there a lot longer than I needed to be but that was nothing to do with the nursing staff, they went out of their way to make sure everything was done as quickly as possible it's the system they were constantly waiting for someone or something to be done.
"Amazing staff"
