"They truly cannot do more for their patients"

On Saturday I found myself with a spontaneous pneumothorax and I was placed on albury ward. When I came to the ward I found some incredible staff!

Julie, Claire, Ellen and joselynn in particular are incredible members of staff who go above and beyond for all patients in their care! They truly cannot do more for their patients, they relate to them on a personal level, help provide dignity and respect during some incredibly hard times, and for some patients who are bedridden and cannot feed themselves I have watched Julie stay with these patients for hours on end brushing their hair to helping maintain their personal hygiene to providing a listening ear when things become too much to deal with emotions wise.

Ellen knew I was in absolute agony by wasn’t due medication for 30 minutes so she set an alarm to make sure I got it to the minute, made me a hot drink and didn’t leave my side until the medication was administered to make sure I was okay.

I honestly could not be more grateful to these 4 members of staff for making my stay currently a much calmer experience even during terrifying news.
