"Not appropriately informed"

About: The Elms Surgery

(as a relative),

Multiple blood tests identified my husband was diabetic; with these results increasing. The Elms didn't appropriately inform, monitor and treat this. They informed my husband he was 'pre-diabetic' and only needed to adjust his lifestyle, then they informed him he was 'bordering on pre-diabetic'. Again, just adjust lifestyle.

Now that he has seen a new GP at a different surgery, he has been told he is actively diabetic and his bloods have shown this for some time with all results in red & flagged as abnormal; including cholesterol, blood sugar and liver function. Given family history of stroke and cardiac arrest, I find it disgusting by his seeming lack of care to this extent and for so long. It is terrifying to think what could have happened if he stayed. His physical and mental health and been steadily declining over the last few years, and now we understand why!
