I had my baby girl at Forth Valley hospital last month and the level of care was exceptional. I had my first child in a different health board area and had an okay experience (some good points some not so good). The level of care I was provided at Forth Valley was outstanding.
I had an emergency c section and my baby needed to stay in NCU for a few days. My midwife’s Hayley and Gemma were amazing, they acted in a calm, professional and caring manner. They made at the right decisions at the right time which meant that my baby was ultimately born safely.
My experience in the theatre was also great. The registrar that conducted my section and made the decision to deliver baby quickly was professional and gave me all the information so I could understand what was happening any why.
The anaesthetists were also kind and professional and kept me distracted throughout the procedure.
The neonatal doctors and nurses were outstanding. Jo, Emily, Dana, Lori, Lindsay, the student nurses and the rest of the team were all fantastic. There were another couple of nurses that looked after my little girl too, they supported me with breast feeding and were also brilliant but unfortunately I can’t remember their names.
The way the whole team cared for my baby at a time where I was overwhelmed and worried was truly fantastic. They kept me updated on her progress and showed genuine care and compassion.
It gave me so much comfort knowing that she was being cared for by them. I can’t thank the team enough for what they have done for us all. I so hope the amazing work that all the team do is recognised.
Thank you all so much, we will be forever grateful!
