"I felt listened to and respected"

I was referred to RVI Gynaecology by my GP last April. I was seen in the outpatients department in November by the absolutely lovely Mr Prior. I felt listened to and respected by Mr Prior, who was professional and actually took on what I suspected was wrong with me. He allowed me to talk through all of my symptoms and treatments I've tried, and immediately recommended I be put on the waiting list for diagnostic laparoscopy.

I had this procedure done in February 2025 by Mr Prior. On Ward 40 before the operation, nurse Claire was so pleasant and made me feel more comfortable. The nurses and anaesthetic staff were reassuring and helpful, especially Dr Khan. Thankfully, my surgery came back fully clear.

On the recovery ward, nurse Lina was very helpful and nurturing to me upon waking up.

Overall my experience was much better than I thought it would be, and I would like to give a massive thank you to Mr Prior who, without his faith and understanding, I would still be searching for answers :)
