About: Victoria Hospital / Rapid Cancer Diagnostic Service (RCDS)

Following a GP referral for my rapid weight loss I was contacted by the RCDS team art Victoria Hospital.  Although I was not told by my GP this was the department  I was being referred to I was not surprised as I had been a cancer patient before.   My first reaction was here we go again, but this time I was surprised by the speed of the pathway. It only took a matter of days to get the initial phone call, CT scan and results -  how great was that?  Plus my results were clear which was a relief.  I have various other health issues so I am aware of the great care health staff give but the RCDS is a service which is fast, professional and highly caring in their manner and approach to patients.
