I was admitted to Ward 102 recently for planned surgery. I was extremely nervous about the whole procedure but from the time I was admitted until discharged I was treated with kindness and compassion from every member of staff, and although it is a very busy ward I never felt I was a burden and every member of staff I met went way beyond anything I had imagined.
From the lovely tea team, housekeeping and nursing staff nothing was any trouble. My night on HDU was dealt with by a member of the nursing team who was with me all night and made sure I was comfortable with pain relief and all that was required to make the night a bit easier for me.
I am home now recovering but will never forget those few days and the care that was given and hope the staff can read this (all of them) and remember how highly thought of you are.
Thank you
"I was treated with kindness and compassion"
