I had a knee replacement in August and I have to say the care I received from everyone at the NTC, Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy was excellent.
Unfortunately, I had a couple of setbacks, the latest at the start of the month, resulting in me being taken to the A&E at Victoria Hospital by ambulance. I was screaming in pain and I have to thank the paramedics for helping me during that journey and admission to the hospital. Thank you Alan and Hannah from the Cowdenbeath Ambulance Depot.
In A&E I was tested and had fluid drained from my knee and eventually admitted to Ward 33. I have to thank all the staff at A&E who eased my pain and were so kind.
I spent the next six days in Ward 33. While there, tests were being carried out on my knee fluid to check for any concerns. I have to say the kindness and consideration shown by every single person who worked on the ward during that time was first class. Everyone took time to make sure I was being cared for 100 per cent. I have to give an enormous thank you to all the Ward 33 staff for their kindness and their help in making my stay comfortable.
"Appreciation of staff"
