"Speedy & courteous"

First, late on a Sunday afternoon end of Nov 2025 I rang 111, and there was a speedy response from a person called Sally who took my details, took my worry seriously, considered the problem, and made helpful suggestions with practical advice. So thank-you to the 111 service.

Second, I next went in person to the Adult Urgent Care Centre at Lister Hospital in Stevenage, Herts at about 5pm. The receptionist was speedy & courteous, and the triage nurse was also speedy & courteous.

I waited on a comfortable chair in a warm waiting room for only a bit over an hour until I was seen by a professional & friendly nurse practitioner (I think). She prescribed me antibiotics, which were made up within 5 minutes for me (so no need to go to a pharmacy). So thank-you to Adult Urgent Care service.
