About: North Devon District Hospital / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as the patient),

I was a bit anxious when I arrived because I've had trouble having teeth extracted before I'm also on warfarin so I was  worried that I wouldn't be within my range and that they couldn't go ahead. But both the dentist and the nurses were lovely very supportive and helpful

It was also good that day allowed brakes during the surgery so that you can relax a bit.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience us. We understand that attending for a tooth extraction, especially when you’ve had previous difficulties and are taking warfarin can understandably cause anxiety. We’re very glad to hear that our surgeon and nursing staff helped you feel supported and reassured throughout your visit.

It’s also great to know that taking breaks during the procedure helped you to relax and feel more comfortable. The team works hard to provide compassionate, patient centred care, and feedback like yours means a great deal to them.
