I had been struggling with Alcohol for many years. This was my second detox and I was really nervous about it, but knew I needed it as my drinking had spiralled out of control again. I felt very alone, scared and in the dark. I spent many times in and out of A&E but felt it wasn't what I needed. I needed the proper support around me.
When I came to Dame Carol, all my nerves just disappeared. I was welcomed with open arms and can honestly say I have never been made to feel so safe as I do here.
Every member of staff has gone above and beyond to give me the care that I needed and I honestly cannot thank everyone enough. They have saved my life when I didn't know which way to turn.
