I wanted to express my gratitude to all staff involved in my care. From secretarial staff, pre-assessment staff, ward 49 staff and theatre staff of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Special thanks to the consultant and anaesthetic staff for their phenomenal skill. At a time when I was vulnerable and afraid, I felt listened to and reassured due to everyone’s professionalism and trust. I was treated with the utmost respect, dignity and care. I am truly thankful.
