"Nursing is a vocation"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Urgent Care Centre

(as the patient),

I was asked to come into the RACU hot clinic on a sat morning to be scanned as I had been having upper abdominal pain, bloating and back pain. Nurse Victory introduced herself with the biggest smile. She was very informative and always kept me up to date as to what was happening next.

ANP Izzy done my examination and requested my scan. We had a good chat about how I was feeling and I explained I was extremely anxious. I am a nurse myself and being at the other side of the table is not easy. I suffer from health anxiety and I explained this to Izzy. She was so lovely and was sure to put my mind at ease and also inform me of everything that was happening including my results. She was very thorough and made me feel confident in her abilities. Credit given to where credit is due.

These girls are rushed off their feet and don't get the credit they deserve. I for one am very grateful for the kindness, care and compassion I received that day from victory and Izzy. You are a credit to the profession.

I would also like to thank the health care support workers Emma and Leanne for always making sure I was OK, asking if I needed anything and just being such kind and lovely girls. I appreciate you all. Thank you so so much.
