"I felt that everyone cared about me as an individual"

About: Aberdeen Maternity Hospital / Obstetrics (Maternity care)

(as the patient),

I wanted to write to say how excellent the care that I received during my stay in Rublisaw ward was. I couldn’t single out an individual as everyone from nurses, midwives, doctors and support staff worked together to make me feel safe, comfortable and calm at a scary time. I felt listened to and respected, everyone acted quickly to help me get better and not like a burden or that I was taking up space and needing to rush. Being in hospital can be scary but I felt that everyone cared about me as an individual and wanted the best for me and my baby. Nurses and doctors took time to explain and discuss before any decisions on my care were decided. Thank you.

Dear MreEw,

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch to share your feedback. The staff in Rubislaw will be delighted to hear how well you felt cared for. Rubislaw can be a very busy area, so it is wondeful to understand that you felt safe, comfortable and not a burden.

Warmest Regards

Liz
