I moved from Craigavion Hospital to Ward 2 Loane House for rehabilitation, I was on oxygen and I didn’t know if they could help me or what they were going to do. I just didn’t know what was going to happen to me but when I got there it was so different from ward 2 North Craigavion.
It was so bright and more room in the ward, everyone I met told me who they were from nurses to cleaners everyone was so friendly and helpful, I couldn’t even begin to describe how grateful I was for them and how much help I received there in my recovery back to life as I once knew.
Sister Kira, when I first met her I thought this one was going to be sharp but she was so caring full of wisdom very helpful in every way, then there was so many - Kira, Kerie and Chloe.
Jackie helped me through a time that I was down and feeling sorry for myself the way she listened and helped me see it could have been with her kindness of words and a shoulder to cry on.
Colette with her beautiful happy smile and a wink and helping hand, Heather, Bronagh the OT and all the night staff so many to name just a few but all had something special about them to give .There are a few young ones who I haven’t named who could learn a lot from the older one in caring for the older patients on the ward who had more complex needs .
"Everyone was so friendly and helpful"
