"Made my son's experience as nice as possible"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Ward A2 Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Just want to say how amazing all the nurses / student nurses & doctors are on ward A2 Paediatrics Antrim area hospital.

My son was quite unwell. He got a cannula put in and the nurses were amazing with him, one blew bubbles & brought other items to distract him. They were very attentive and super caring.

The student nurses who done our checks were so patient, especially when my son was all out of sorts and being a little difficult. He soon got used to the routine and gave them his finger and let them take his temperature. They would even sit on the floor beside him if that's where he was at the time and roll some cars/talk to him.

The little bear and blankets all the children on the ward got was an amazing touch, he absolutely loves it he tells everyone - the nurse gave me this for being brave. We are now home and he is playing doctor. I got a hole in my hand last night (a cannula) and a bandage.

I love they have a QR code on the wall for an Amazon wish list. They have some toys for the kids to play with, which is lovely.

So yes a massive thank you to all the lovely nurses/student nurses & doctors for making my son's not so nice experience as nice as possible.
