Not one to write reviews but really got no clue how to make anything better at this point. Am registering entire family elsewhere. I have tried to speak to the right staff, senior staff members are never available even when very serious sequence of incidents where ongoing prescriptions get stopped dead, where you think you are seeing a doctor but it's not a doctor, where there is no one triaging except for receptionists I think - unqualified people trying to take down information when it's clear to me they don't understand medical terminology.
Written emails no one ever reads. There is a complaints system but too many reviews say don't bother and tbh I am too exhausted to deal with here any longer.
3 examples of how bad it has been:
No same day appts for infants or young children as they run out then offer up a nurse appointment instead but not until the next day or once 3 days ahead ( which made zero sense).
When told not good enough reception says ring 111, when the surgery is open.
2-yr-old had strep A infection going round they ended up in hospital because I missed the (late) duty doctor callback and they didn't call again. It was after surgery hours so no GP assessed that day. Had to call 999.
Elderly frail mum with longstanding mental health has important medication that is unsafe to stop dead. So surgery doesn't issue right prescription dose after changed by psychiatrist. Am then bounced around between reception who were so obstructive, surgery pharmacists who never called back, duty GPs who just didn't act until she got really unwell. This went on for 3 months and the GP allocated to her left so no one picked up.
I have a history of blood clots in my leg that once went to my lungs and was in hospital as this is serious. I got the same leg symptoms again and was scared and panicky but tried to explain to the member of staff on reception who was taking notes down as I needed advice from a duty doctor. Then I got a phone call saying there were no anything appointments ,like nothing that day and to ring again the next day so I do and they had run out of appointments again.
So I think maybe I am just panicking because I gave all the details to a duty doctor must know better than me but turns out when ring again next day no one had a record I had called. So I assumed this is reception staff triaging again.
Ended up in A&E and I had to be admitted again for blood thinner injections because I had another DVT blood clot. Off work for 3 weeks. As a lone parent and a carer all this was a nightmare.
Really, the staff have been so rude and obstructive that it makes getting any sense out of the situation totally impossible. I feel I have been constantly gaslighted.
No accountability or apologies ever.
